The Cancer Challenge Pickleball Tournament brings pickleball enthusiasts together in an event to benefit cancer services and programs throughout NWA.  This exciting event was introduced two years ago at the Cancer Challenge event and drew lots of enthusiasm and participation.

THIS YEAR THE TOURNAMENT WILL BE HELD INDOORS AT THE WALTON LIFE FITNESS CENTER

Walton Life Fitness Center- Bentonville, AR

INDOOR COURTS 

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:  Round Robin

All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 5 games.  Brackets that play 5 & 6 games will play to 15, win by 2.  Brackets that play 7 & 8 games will play to 11, win by 2.

Skill Levels:  2.5    3.0    3.5    4.0    4.5+

***Players must play at USA Pickleball skill rating level or above***

Age Levels:  Age level brackets within skill level will be considered following registration

Thursday, June 9th, 6-8 pm

Pickleball Social:  Location- Walton Life Fitness Center

Appetizers & soft drinks, water and sports drinks will be provided. 

Register and pick up your shirt, hat and player bag early. 

 

Friday, June 10

Women’s practice time (7am-8am)

Women’s Doubles (8 am- 12 noon)

Men’s practice time (noon-1pm)

Men’s Doubles (1- 5 pm)

Mixed Doubles (8 am -1pm)

Tournament Fees

  • $50.00 per person (includes ticket to Thursday night pickleball social, t-shirt, hat and player bag) 
  • $10.00 per person for additional event (Men’s or Women’s Doubles plus Mixed Doubles)
  • Team prizes awarded

Tie Breaks Protocol:

The winner is determined based on number of matches won. If two or more teams are tied:

  • First tie-breaker: head-to-head matches won.
  • Second tie-breaker: head-to-head point differential.
  • Third tie-breaker: point differential of all games played.
  • Fourth tie-breaker: point differential against next-highest team. (e.g., If the teams are tied for second, use point differentials against the first-place team.)
  • Final tie-breaker will be a coin flip.
